How will the parenting group help me and my child?

There are a ton of benefits to joining our Parenting Group, including:

  • Reduce isolation/stigma
  • Improve communication with child
  • Reinforce skills children are learning

Reduce isolation/stigma

Improve communication with child

Reinforce skills children are learning

Most importantly, by participating in your child's treatment journey, you're sending a powerful message: that their well-being is your top priority and that they matter deeply.

Learn essential components of your child’s care

You’ll gain valuable insights into your child’s treatment here at Direction as we take the time to explore our comprehensive treatment model and the evidence-based practices that guide our approach. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions, engage in meaningful discussions, and learn practical strategies for supporting your child both during their time in treatment and beyond.

By becoming more informed, you’ll be better equipped to play an active, compassionate role in their healing process.

Wholeistic Education

We teach parents and guests about our Wholeistic Education treatment model, which is our gold standard and informs all we do.

Leadership Principles

Our Leadership Principles are the foundation of everything our clinical staff does, guiding our decisions, actions, and the way we engage with our clients. We’ll teach you how to apply them to your family as well.

Maximize the effectiveness of your child’s program

By attending our Parenting Groups, it will help maximize the effectiveness of your child’s time in our program by offering the opportunity to integrate our approach more fully in your home.

Gain trusted support—just like your child receives

When you take advantage of the group experience, you’ll benefit from support, just as your child does in their PHP or IOP. You’ll gain collective wisdom from the group while receiving emotional support from those who truly understand the journey you’re on.
